📜 Borrower-Lender Agreement (v2026-10-v1)

1. The handover — Lender and borrower each do a Wing Inspection at pickup: at least one timestamped photo of the item, plus a note on any existing marks. The borrow starts once both inspections are in.
2. Late returns — Bring it back by the end of your last day, in the agreed handoff window. Late returns are charged at the daily rate for each extra day, and the lender may deduct this from the Nest Egg if it isn't settled within 48 hours.
3. Damage — Both parties do a return Wing Inspection. If damage beyond normal wear is reported, the Nest Egg is paused and a Swoop moderator compares pickup and return photos. The moderator may deduct a fair repair cost, up to the full Nest Egg.
4. Loss or theft — If the item is lost, stolen, or not returned within 7 days of the due date, the full Nest Egg goes to the lender. The borrower remains responsible for any replacement value above the Nest Egg.
5. Liability — The borrower uses the item at their own risk and follows any safety instructions in the listing. The lender confirms the item is safe and works as described. Swoop is a local matchmaker, not an insurer, and isn't liable for injury or loss arising from use.
6. Disputes — Moderators decide disputes within 48 hours using the photo evidence history. Both parties agree to accept the moderator's decision on the Nest Egg.
